How Pets Can Travel?

• Checked baggage : Domesticated birds, dogs and cats may travel in a climate regulated baggage hold, subject to weight and size restrictions. Pets can only travel on Qatar Airways operated flights.

• Cargo : Necessary for large animals, non domesticated species and pets traveling to destinations such as Australia and New Zealand where regulations require cargo transport.

Pet Travel Fees

• Medium pets (up to 32 kg with container) : USD 200 (to/from Qatar) or USD 350 (other routes).

• Large pets (32–75 kg) : USD 300 (to/from Qatar) or USD 450 (other routes).

• Extra-large animals (over 75 kg or more than 300 cm) : Must travel as freight.

Restrictions and Eligibility

• Service dogs : Accepted in the cabin provided they are properly trained and certified.

• Emotional support dogs : Not recognized as service animals.
